Africa Energy Expo 2024, officially endorsed by the Rwanda Ministry of Infrastructure, aims to drive energy sector progress, investment opportunities


Informa Markets, organisers of the first edition of the Africa Energy Expo, are pleased to announce that the landmark energy event, taking place from 4 to 6 November 2024 at the Kigali Convention Centre, Rwanda, has been endorsed by the country’s Ministry of Infrastructure.

Rwanda is a prime location for bringing together key energy stakeholders from across the African continent to network and engage in dialogue on matters relating to Africa’s energy and power industries. Underscored by driving progress towards SDG7 (affordable and clean energy), the AEE will also focus on furthering the Africa Power Vision goals and objectives.

Rwanda to Host Inaugural Africa Energy Expo and Leadership Summit in November 2024


The Africa Energy Expo and Leadership Summit Organizing Team held a press conference on August 7, 2024, in Kigali to announce the upcoming Africa Energy Expo and Africa Energy Leadership Summit scheduled to take place from November 4-6, 2024 in Kigali.

During the press conference, Jean Bosco MUGIRANEZA, Director General in charge of Energy Directorate at the Rwandan Ministry of Infrastructure, highlighted Rwanda’s achievements in the energy sector, including an access rate of 80.1%, with 57% on the grid and 23.1% off the grid.

This flagship event is designed to facilitate critical discussions, foster collaboration, and drive progress in achieving the UN’s Sustainable Development Goal 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy) while advancing Africa Power Vision (APV) goals.
